The mother, Michele Lev, and sisters of Ofek Lev stopped by our offices last week. Mr. Lev is the remarkable young man from Harford County who has reached the heights of achievement in spite of devasting afflictions that doctors thought he would never survive. He has been 100% dependent on someone for everything every hour of the day since he was born.
His mother has been able to care for Ofek due to an assistance program that allows him to be cared for at home. This is not only a better result for him but also is much less costly than if he was being treated in an institution.
Ofek is a computer sciences major and plans to work at the NSA after graduation.
The family came to Annapolis to support the Developmental Disabilities Coalition.
