02/18/2007 02:05 PM Hank McComas - There is a hard ramp on the north side of the Shired Island camp with a large parking lot. The Lat - Lon is for that ramp. You may find this facility in heavy use with local fishiermen and airboats. At the campground there is a large area of sandy beach where you may launch right from your camping site. No potable water here so you must bring your own. Outside cold shower, primitive bathrooms, shelters, picnic tables and charcoal braziers are available.
